BASELWORLD 2004 - "Hall of Univers" returns to Basel

BASELWORLD will be held exclusively in Basel in the future. Extra exhibition floor space required for the "Hall of Univers" , located in Zurich in 2003, close to the existing exhibiton centre in Basel. At the Hall of Universe, there comprises national pavilions from around 25 countries with approsimately 800 exhibiting companies on a gross area of 30,000 squre meters.

The clear segmentation of the BASELWORLD will remain unchanged as the Hall of Universe is integrated into the expanded exhibition venue in Basel.

 

Hall 1.0 (Hall of Dream) more traditional watch and manufacturers in high-end watch design and manufacture
Hall 1.1 (Hall of Desire) branded watches in stronger links with the world of fashion and couture
Hall 4 (Hall of Inspirations) elite and high-end luxury brands, including some of the world's leading jewellery companies that have expanded their collections into fine quality watches
Hall 5.0 (Hall of Emotions) branded watches in the lower to middle price range
Hall 5.1 (The Boutiques) very specialist (including limited edition) watch desingers and manufacturers
Hall 2.0 (Hall of Fantasies) well-known and up-and-coming designer-led jewellery collections
Hall 2.0 & 2.1 (Hall of Feeling) high-end jewellery designers and manufacturers
Hall 2.2 (Hall of Visions) world's most prestigious jewellery brands
Hall 3.0&3.1 (Hall of Elements) stones and pearls, loose diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones
Hall 3.U, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 (Hall of Innovations) related industries such as clocks, watch straps, packagings and display, components, tools and machinery
Hall 6 (Hall of Universe) watches, jewelry and related industries under national pavilions

 

Catalog, and other useful information

Various useful information are available at http://www.baselworld.com, though the floor plan and list of exhibitors are not yet updated as of February 25, 2004. Purchase of catalog are available at the exhibition venue.

Entrance ticket for one day is Sfr.45, and for whole duration Sfr.120. Newly from this year, tickets can be purchased in advance at http://www.baselworld.com. Registration at "My-login" is required for the purchase.

BASELWORLD offers together with the SBB the "Baselworld-Railticket" for a single visit use. It includes the rail fare as wel as the tram journey to and from Messeplatz in Basel. The tickets are valid for one day on any day of the show and can be bought from any railway station in Switzerland. The rate is SFr.52 for 2nd class, and Sfr.88 for 1st class.

For several visits, "Baselworld-Railcard" is available. The cost of the tram transfer in Basel is also included. The ticket is valid from April 15 to 22, for any number of trips on the same route to and from Basel in 1st or 2nd class.
