Swiss Exhibitors Committee reported about the trend of Swiss watches at BASELWORLD2009 as follows, 2009 marks a return to traditional watch value. The movement – historically mechanical – retakes its pre-eminent place at the heart of the timepiece. Dial, delicately openworked, reveal the fine mechanical architecture of the watch. As far as design concerned, the trend is towards unpretentious refinement, grey and full-black, while brands have been happy to combine steel cases with colored bezels, pink gold in particular.
