Bergeon Tool Contest at Hiko Mizuno

Bergeon, the leading tool manufacturer in Switzerland, and Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry in Tokyo, a WOSTEP partnership school, have set up the "Bergeon Prix" as a contest of tools that students invented. 26 students have applied for the contest with tools they have invented. The files of those invented tools were sent to Bergeon in Switzerland for evaluation. On the 13th of September, Mr. A.Calmonte, Executive Sales Director of Bergeon, visited the school and announced the result of the contest and handed over the Bergeon gift certificate s to the 3 award winners.

To select the award winners, Bergeon has established a work group of 6 people representing the marketing, product development, fabrication and management sectors. The evaluation of the assignments have been done based on the following criteria; design, originality, quality of the assignment, commercial perspectives, industrialisation capacity, presentation of the file.

The winner of the 1st prize is Mr.Kenta Komiya, 2nd is Mr.Ryousuke Kooriyama, and the 3rd is Mr.Takanobu Koyanagi. They have received the Bergeon gift certificate worth CFH2500, CFH1500, CFH1000 respectively.

Mr. Calmonte said that they have surprised by the quality of the proposed contributions, and it was not easy to select the three award winners. He proposed to give all the students as "souvenir gift" a Bergeon watchmakers knife.

Bergeon and Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry have agreed to organize this contest every year.
