"Inheritance of Breguet - Tourbillon collection" will be presented at Breguet Boutique Ginza on September 25 - September 27, 2009.

Tourbillon is the pronoun of the super-complication mechanical watch which represents the existence of Breguet.

Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823) was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He was a watchmaker and made many innovations such as Tourbillon - the pronoun of the complication mechanical watch, a perpetual calendar and minutes repeaters. He invented and accomplished more than 200. Therefore, he is praised, "Leonard Da Vinci of the watchmaking world", and is expressed to have brought the evolution of the watch forward in the second century.

He founded watchmaking studio in Paris in 1775. Marie-Antoinette and Napoleon were early enthusiasts of Breguet’s watchmaking. Victor Hugo, Standhal. Balzac and other historical writers made reference to Breguet in their works like a mythical symbol. Breguet brand joined Swatch Group and continue to presenting innovative watches as models of supreme horological art.
