"Cartier design viewed by Ettore Sottsass" exhibition is scheduled to be held at the Daigo Ji Temple Museum in Kyoto from March 13 to May 2. This exhibition was already held in Berlin and Milan in 2002. Kyoto is the third city of the exhibition. The exhibition features 200 pieces chosen by the great Italian designer Ettore Sottsass from the Art of Cartier Collection, which includes 1200 pieces illustrating the progression of design styles and techniques in Cartier creation. The site and also showcases were designed by Ettore Sottsass.
The Daigo
Ji is a temple played an important role as a main temple in a history
of Japanese Buddhism. Most of the main buildings are designated as national
treasures or important cultural assets, which are preserved in its museum,
Reihokan. |
