HEIWADO & CO. starts to distribute a new brand “ELLICOTT” on the Japanese market. In 2008, Pierre-Andre Finazzi revived the brand and released at Baselworld 2008.
John Ellicott was a scientist and an inventor and is credited with the world’s very first centre second hand. John Ellicott II (1706-1772) was appointed Watchmaker to King George III and devised an ingenious compensation pendulum. He had been elected Fellow of the Royal Society by 1738. In 2008, Finazzi revived the brand ELLICOTT in Switzerland.
Finazzi had worked for many watch manufactures and jewellery houses. He brought the ELLICOTT spirit back to life in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
Since Heiwado & Co. is the distributor of Waltham which Finazzi designs for, the company starts to distribute ELLICOTT brand in Japan.
The ELLICOTT collections are consisted of 3 pillars:Springfield, Mach One and Lady Tuxedo.
