Favre Leuba in Japan by Noble Styling

(December 25, 2007)

Noble Styling Inc (Tokyo) has started import and distribution of Favre Leuba watches from November this year.

Favre Leuba was started in 1737 by Abraham Favre in Jura, Le Locle. The brand was run by Favre family until 1969 over eight generations, but, in the quartz revolution since then, Favre Leuba passed through different hands such as Benedom and LVMH before finally regaining its independence in 2003.

The collection of new Favre Leuba, "Mercury" is inspired by two unique events - the birth of the Favre Manufacture in Le Locle in 1737 and the eclipse of the planet Mercury by Venus in the same year. The Mercury collection consists of three exclusive models, Mercury Chronograph, Mercury Power Reserve, and Mercury Big Date.

All the Mercury models are equipped with Favre Leuba caliber. Also, with Favre Leuba 's innovative, patented "Bidirectional Crown Locking System" which comprises two crowns: an inner crown, which is first turned to unlock the system, and an outer crown which can then be pulled out to set the date or time. Another innovation enables the movement to be wound by hand regardless of the position of the inner crown.
