The Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry (Tokyo/Shibuya) went into partnership with WOSTEP (Switzerland), and has started, from April this year, the 3Year Diploma Watchmakers Course implemented the WOSTEP training program.

The Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry has already started the watchmaker training course since 1995, upon request of the Japan Watch Importers Association (JWIA) which concerns about the lack of young watchmakers in Japan.

WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program) in Switzerland is an independent institution to train watchmakers, which was set up in 1966 by Swiss watchmanufacturers and watch related organizaions, giving instruction exclusively in English. The WOSTEP diploma is esteemed and internationally recognized.
