Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry, a partnership school of WOSTEP (* reffer below), have opened the WOSTEP Watchmakers Course since April 1999. The final examination of the course was carried from February 11 to 13, and 23 students have cleared it. The Ceremony rewarding certificates was held on February 19 at the Swiss Residence, with Ambassador of Switzerland in attendance.

The WOSTEP accredited Watchmaker Course of Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry implemented the WOSTEP 3000-hour training programme for watchmakers for 3 years. Students have to have 5 times of intermediate examinations in the programme. Only the students who cleared all the 5 intermediate examinations can come up the final examination. The final examination is prosecuted directly by staff of WOSTEP Switzerland.

The certificates for students who passed the final examination is what WOSTEP certifies that they are the international watchmakers who have cleared the 3000 hours training. Since the opening of the course in 1999 at Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry, total 80 students have received the certificates.
