Japan Watch Importers Association(JWIA) has held a charity auction at the Internet auction site, "Rakuten Furima" (http://furima.rakuten.co.jp) for one week from October 13, and has donated the total sales amount to the Ashinaga Scholarship Support.

The auction was planned for the 50 years commemoration of the JWIA. The 31 member companies had put on auction 54 import brand watches. The total sales amount reached Yen6,378,511. With additional donation of Yen700,000 by support companies and deducting Rakuten commission,final amount Yen6,743,640 was handed over to Mr. Y.Tamai of Ashinaga Scholarship Support on November 10 at the JWIA office.

During the charity auction period, the accessed number count 52,000.
