Jaquet Droz is the name of a genius watchmaker in the 18th century. He had opened his first workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1738. He made beautiful decorative pocket watches and clocks with precise mechanism. He also developed automata which were highly appreciated by Lords at the time.
