Roger Federer, winner of Wimbledon 2003 and 2004, has signed a 5-year partnership contract with Maurice Lacroix. From 1st June the world's current number one tennis player will be the watch manufacturer's official ambassador across the globe. Maurice Lacroix - Federer's only partner from the world of watchmaking - thus becomes one of the tennis player's main official sponsors. International communication by Maurice Lacroix will now rely strongly on the emblematic figure of Roger Federer, particularly in terms of advertising, point-of-sale presentation of the brand and public relations.

Roger Federer was born in Basel/Switzerland in 1891. Since 1998 he has been a professional tennis player . He is the winner of Wimbledon in 2003 and 2004, and ranked No.1 at ATP at present.

Maurice Lacroix appointed Roger Federer as partner because of the similarities existing between the two; Swiss, young, and both are symbols of extreme accuracy and aestheticism.

Their collaboration was officially announced at the Gstaad Swiss Open in July (winner Roger Federer), and Masterpiece Double Retrograde platinum model, serial number 1 was given to Roger Federer.
