Actress Mitsuko Mori (89, Mitsu Murakami is her real name), who recently gave her 2,000th performance of her represent play ''Horoki,'' received the People's Honor Award from Taro Aso, the Prime Minister of Japan on Wednesday, July 1.

Mori is the 17th person and the first actress to receive the prestigious award inaugurated in 1977.
