Focused on protecting of marine environment by Rolex, the documentary “Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the ocean” is broadcasted on BS Fuji on 22nd July, 21. 

Rolex is committed for the long term to support explorers their quest to protect the planet and use science to understand and devised solutions to today’s environmental challenges. In 2019, they launched the Perpetual Planet initiative to reinforce their commitment for the conservation of the environment. The Perpetual Planet initiative for now focuses on three key areas: supporting individuals who contribute to a better world the Rolex Awards for Enterprise; preserving the oceans, notably through the company’s association with Mission Blue; and understanding climate change.  

Sylvia Earle, founder of Mission Blue, a partner in Perpetual Planet, narrates the documentary, featuring the work of six marine scientists. Over the documentary, the viewer is immersed in a spectacular underwater world, discovering the challenges our oceans face today and the solutions that can be taken to make a real change.  This documentary program has been released at the Rolex official site on June 8th, 2021, and it is available to watch it on the following website.
