The lecture, "The relationships between Japan and Switzerland through watches”

The Director of FH-Tokyo addressed at the lecture meeting hosted by Kansai Japan and Swiss Society

Ayako Nakano, the Director of the Federation of the Swiss watch industry FH, in Tokyo, gave a presentation under the theme of “The relationships between Japan and Switzerland through watches” at an autumn social gathering hosted by Kansai Association Switzerland-Japan.

Kansai Association Switzerland-Japan was established in Kansai in 1982 for the purpose of promoting the exchanges between Japan and Switzerland and contributing to mutual understanding and friendship and goodwill. It develops a variety of businesses, including sending a youth exchange mission consisting of Japanese and Swiss junior high-school students, holding a lecture meeting, social gathering, and meeting for the purpose of enjoying Swiss wine, and cooperation in development of young musicians.

Every year, at the autumn social gathering, as an opportunity to enrich the society members’ understanding of Switzerland, the society invites a public figure or a company representative who is closely connected to Switzerland for a lecture meeting. This year, Ayako Nakano, the Director of the Federation of the Swiss watch industry FH, in Tokyo, made a speech about the Swiss watch industry. She talked about the activities of the Federation of the Swiss watch industry FH, the standards for Swiss-made watches, and relationships between Switzerland and Japan through watches.
