“Reine de Naples”
In 2025, marking its 250th anniversary, Breguet added two new models, Ref. 9935 and Ref. 8925, to its unified “Reine de Naples” collection, formerly known as “Queen of Naples.” Inspired by the world's first wristwatch, created between 1810 and 1812 for Queen Caroline Murat of Naples, this collection symbolizes Breguet's watchmaking for women, reinterpreting its elegance and innovation.
Ref. 9935 features the new Cal. 537L2 movement, the collection's first to incorporate a moon phase display without a power reserve indicator. It consolidates the displays for hours, minutes, small seconds, and a significantly enlarged moon phase. The two-layer dial, layering aventurine glass and Tahitian mother-of-pearl, creates a fantastical light that changes expression over time. Against the blue night sky, a polished white moon and the “Secret Sign” appear. The case and new bracelet utilize the newly introduced “Breguet Gold,” while the center lug at 6 o'clock features a snow-set diamond, exuding a jewel-like brilliance.
Ref. 8925, designed as a more minimalist ladies' watch with hour and minute indications, houses Cal. 586/1. It pairs a fluted case with a Breguet Gold bracelet, featuring delicate diamond settings from the bezel to the center lugs and chapter ring. Three expressive dials are available: white mother-of-pearl, full Breguet gold, and black aventurine, each crowned with a pear-shaped diamond at the 12 o'clock position.
