“TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Second Chronograph Air 1”
TAG Heuer's new creation, the “TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Second Chronograph Air 1,” is a cutting-edge complication watch born from the lineage of the iconic Monaco, crafted with new technology and aesthetic sensibilities. Its defining feature is the case, crafted from Grade 5 titanium using Selective Laser Melting (SLM), an additive manufacturing process. This technique gives the case a sculpted, three-dimensional structure that appears aerodynamically sculpted, evoking the air intakes of high-performance vehicles.
Despite this complex structure, the case achieves an exceptionally light total weight of approximately 85 grams. Inside, it houses an in-house movement beating at a high frequency of 5 Hz, featuring an automatic winding split-seconds (rattrapante) chronograph mechanism, ensuring outstanding functionality and practicality as a timepiece.
The exterior combines titanium with a black DLC bezel and 18K yellow gold components, harmonizing a cool mechanical feel with luxurious texture. The strap blends rubber and Alcantara. Limited to just 30 pieces worldwide.
Case: Diameter 41mm, Thickness 10.6mm (Titanium), Water resistant 3ATM, See-through case back / Movement: Automatic Cal. TH81-00 (52 jewels, Frequency 36,000 vph , Power reserve approx. 65 hours) / Estimated Price: 30,338,000 yen
