
On May 16th, 2014 - The Swiss Haute Horology brand Audemars Piguet opened the new 156 sqm boutique in Ginza, Tokyo.
Located in one of the most prestigious and busy parts of the Japanese capital, the new boutique showcases an original concept design that captures the 139-year old brand's core values: origins, artistry and extraordinary relationships.
The blend of wood, metal and idyllic landscapes of Le Brassus, immerse clients in the Vallee de Joux in Switzerland, birthplace of Audemars Piguet. Designed by the Creative Circle International Corporation of Switzerland in collaboration with Audemars Piguet's Creative Director Octavio Garcia is divided into two spaces: "The Manufacture" and "The House".
"The Manufacture" includes detailed product displays; a watchmaker's corner; a virtual factory depicting how the Audemars Piguet timepieces are crafted as well as educational content about how the singular watches and museum pieces are created.
"The Lounge" incorporates a full service bar and lounge with a state-of-the-art visual & audio systems that invites clients to relax with an espresso or a cocktail. On the wall, photographs are reminiscence of the many friends of the brand and commentary about Audemars Piguet's commitment to environmental initiatives and corporate philanthropy.
"By bringing the ’Manufacture to the Boutique’, Audemars Piguet tells the story of its origins, history, craftsmanship, legitimacy and exclusive relationships to its new environment," says Jonathan King, CEO & Representative Director of Audemars Piguet (Japan).
The new boutique will showcase emblematic time pieces as well as from the new collection for watch enthusiasts and collectors to enjoy in the new Audemars Piguet "Home away from Home" in Tokyo.
