Watches & Wonders 2025 - Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin unveiled the “Les Cabinotiers Solaria Ultra Grand Complication – La Première” at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025 to commemorate its 270th anniversary.

Vacheron Constantin “Les Cabinotiers Solaria Ultra Grand Complication – La Première,” unveiled to mark the brand's 270th anniversary, is the most complex wristwatch in its history, featuring 1,521 components and 41 complications. Five of these complications relate to astronomical displays, visually conveying information such as the sun's position, altitude, meridian transit time, declination (angular distance from the ecliptic), and even the length of day and night. These mechanisms are structured to display the sun's movement across the sky in real time. Furthermore, the case back features a celestial sphere, housing an exceptionally unique mechanism that uses a split-seconds chronograph to measure the time until specific stars become visible in the field of view. This marks the world's first implementation in a wristwatch. The movement houses the newly developed Caliber 3655, integrating numerous functions including a Westminster chime minute repeater, chronograph, world time, and perpetual calendar. The design prowess required to fit such complexity into a case measuring 45mm in diameter and 14.99mm in thickness is particularly noteworthy. Development spanned eight years, with 13 patents applied for.

Case: Diameter 45mm, Thickness 14.99mm (18K White Gold) / Movement: Hand-wound Cal. 3655 (204 jewels, Frequency 21,600 vph, Approx. 72-hour power reserve) / Unique Piece
