Breguet unveils new look for Ginza Boutique in Japan

On November 29th, 2014, Breguet reopened its boutique in one of Tokyo’s most prestigious districts, at Ginza, following several months of drastic expansion and renovation.

Deploying over 190 m2, the Ginza boutique offers a new dimension to Breguet’s art of living. Its new concept of advanced design pays tribute to key attributes of the venerable watchmaking House. The silver tones of the display walls is inspired by the silvered gold watch dials, while the frosted glass is engraved with a patterned motif echoing Breguet’s traditional clous de Paris hobnailed engine-turned pattern. World-class decoration materials, impeccably fashioned and finished, frame a large selection of timepieces ranging from the Marine line to the most elaborate Classic designs.

Breguet’s exclusive Haute Joaillerie suites, flawlessly designed and executed, are presented in a more intimate salon known as “Versailles” Inspired by the design of the Petit Trianon, - favorite palace of Marie Antoinette restored in 2008 thanks to Montres Breguet’s patronage – this natural, feminine and elegant room transports visitors instantaneously to the royal epoch of the 18th century.

To celebrate this new setting, the prestigious watchmaker revealed three exclusive time pieces: The Breguet Classique Grande Complication 3357 and 3358 and the Breguet Reine de Naples 8958. Their elegant and refined design is a tribute to Japanese culture. It is inspired by the Wiesteria, a twining flower of great beauty that adorns traditional Japanese gardens. The Breguet Classique Grande Complication 3357 and 3358 feature one of the watchmaking’s finest devices and invention of Breguet. In a charming setting made of translucent Ginnezu grey or Wisteria purple enamel coating, the tourbillon stands out as a horological masterpiece. The Breguet Reine de Naples 8958 honors the craft tradition of cameo work. It is decorated with a true miniature sculpted on shell representing the “Fuji Flowers”, traditional Japanese flowers also known under the more common name of “Wisteria”.
