Eau Rouge Co., Ltd. (Minato Ward, Tokyo, Mr. Masato Shimoyama, president) started to distribute the exclusive Swiss watch brand, Maitres du Temps, from December, 2014.
Eau Rouge Co., Ltd and Maitres du Temps are cooperating closely with each other to build the brand awareness and attractiveness in the Japanese market. In February 2015, they will open the show room by advance reservation only in Minato Ward, Tokyo. It enables to look over the exclusive timepieces produced by the worlds’ most talented master watchmakers there.
Founded by Steven Holtzman in 2005, Maitres du Temps is based on an entirely new horlogical concept, and brings teams of the world’s most talented independent watchmakers and master watchmakers to develop exclusive, technically exciting timepieces. Each master watchmaker brings to the table his own ideas, his own style, and his own approach, and by providing the opportunity for them to work together, Maitres du Temps harnesses and maximizes their incredible talent. “By bringing together these important independent watchmakers and respecting the essential aspects of their craft, with Maitres duTemps we hope to balance tradition and innovation in the development of our timepieces. My plan for Maitres du Temps is to be actively involved in passing the craft and skills of more experienced master watchmakers to the next generation of masters. I believe there will be an interest in the art of fine watchmaking for many years to come,”says Holtzman.
Maitres du Temps launched in 2008 with Chapter One by Christophe Claret and Peter Speake-Marin, which features a world-first combination of tourbillon, mono-pusher column wheel chronograph, retrograde date, and retrograde GMT, as well as moon phase and day of the week on rollers. In 2009, Maitres du Temps presented the world’s most legible triple calendar wristwatch, Chapter Two, by Daniel Roth and Peter Speake-Marin. The Chapter Three Reveal by Kari Voutilainen and Andreas Strehler was unveiled early 2012. The elegant timepiece displays central hours and minutes; small seconds, date and moon phase, all set on a sumptuous blue guilloche dial.
